Hi! I'm Erin. I'm a high school English teacher by nature but a passionate novice in the kitchen. I love to write and cook, and The Brass Spoon has provided an outlet for me to express both of these passions!

I live in Oskaloosa, Iowa, with my husband, Loken, and spunky cat, Zola. When not teaching or managing this blog, I can be found exercising or teaching a fitness class at the local YMCA, working on online classes for my in-pursuit Masters of Humanities in English degree, or spending time with friends and family. I can't resist a good book, a good cup of coffee, or a good deal.
